Walter Erick Campbell is a secondary supporting character and antagonist from Raiden V.
History[]
Walter was born from a traditional noble family from England. Despite this, his parents made a point of being useful for society and taught Walter to have a similar mindset. Walter was proud of his parents and studied hard to live up to their expectations when the time came for him to assume his position as Lord Campbell.
Walter soon learned about the harsh reality of the world, of poverty, greediness and war. When the war against the Crystals began Walter became fascinated with the scientific breakthroughs brought over from the need of combating these enemies, eventually graduating from university with the best academic record in the university's history. Walter had already decided he would bring an end to the war, by any means necessary.
On the graduate school, however, Walter one day entered an argument with his professor due to refusing from following the proper safety regulations, even though his research was within a stable output. The professor expelled him from his class, forcing Walter to give up on his research. Two weeks after the incident, Walter was visited by an elderly man, who offered him to join an organization called SHIFT. Walter would become a member of the research team responsible for creating the Fighting Thunders, while working in secret with SHIFT to research the Crystals in order to develop new weapons.
Raiden V[]
He makes his first appearance in LHC Facility in France, where he initiates a call with the Bellwether's captain, Richard Maxwell. He is promptly disgusted with Maxwell's attitude towards him and ends the call. During this time, he hired a pirate to abduct the crystals from the facility. The Fighting Thunder encountered the Spice Birds and stopped them from destroying the facility, though the crystals in the facility were stolen during the battle.
Upon learning the crystals stored in the LHC Facility were stolen, the Bellwether finds the suspects and initiates chase, engaging the enemy fleet. During the battle, he contacts Richard and demands they withdraw to fight the contaminated weapons while another team engages Valbarossa's fleet, but Richard refuses, infuriating him even further.
When the Fighting Thunder destroys the pirate's contaminated weapon, Blow of Hornet, they also learn the pirate captain, Valbarossa, is also a woman. Valbarossa, distressed at losing her ship to the crystals, tells Richard that she was suspicious as soon as she learned of "SHIFT" and did some research, though she did not find much. The Bellwether moves into a supposedly closed weapons facility to find it fully operational and engage the enemies. Campbell contacts Richard and orders him to cease his attack; Richard refuses again, as the facility is supposed to be closed. Campbell explains his intentions to Richard, but is unable to persuade him from ceasing the attack.
The Fighting Thunder destroys most of the facility and prepares to leave via the underground railroad. Campbell, anticipating this, sent the Messiah after them, but it was destroyed in the ensuing battle. Campbell's fate remains unknown after the mission, but it is assumed that he was court-martialed for his actions.
