The Land Crown is the boss of stage 5 in the original Raiden.

Land Crown is a very simple boss, being a large tank with a forward firing cannon and small guns on it's sides. The boss can also open wings on it's sides which add to it's firepower, though they can be destroyed. After taking some damage a hatch will open and launch two spinning drones, when those are destroyed it will get more aggressive and fire more bullets, so you have to be careful while attacking this boss on its critical damage state.
