The Flying Ray is a fighter that appears in Raiden Fighters 2: Operation Hell Dive and it's successor, Raiden Fighters Jet. The fighter itself fast and powerful plane, which makes it a fine choice for beginners.
The Flying Ray basically shoots 6 narrow lasers (V-Anchor) that can hit along the diagonals. It also has tracking missiles (Magnet Missile) that fly forward at first, but suddenly after spotting any enemy, they turn 90 degrees and fly in that direction. In RFJ, however, the Magnet Missile is replaced with the Hell Diver's Spider Fang, which retains it's original purpose.
